The Spiteful Presidency of Joe Biden
Tuesday, January 7, 2025
It started on Day One…
Within hours of being sworn in as the 46th President of the United States, Joseph Robinette Biden launched a two-pronged crusade to remake America. The first prong was to pay back the Progressive branch of the Democrat Party by implementing virtually everything on their socialist To-Do list. After all, gotta give George Soros his due, right? The second prong was to dismantle as much of Donald Trump’s legacy as possible.
In fact, of the more than 60 executive actions President Biden signed during his first 100 days in office (which set a record), 24 of them were direct reversals of Trump administration policies.
Instead of adding miles to the border wall, President Biden ordered that construction be stopped immediately and funds earmarked for the project be allocated elsewhere. In an official White House statement released on Inauguration Day, Biden called the border wall “a wasteful diversion of billions of dollars.” Here is an excerpt from that statement…
“By proclamation, President-elect Biden will today declare an immediate termination of the national emergency declaration that was used as a pretext to justify some of the funding diversions for the wall. The proclamation directs an immediate pause in wall construction projects to allow a close review of the legality of the funding and contracting methods used, and to determine the best way to redirect funds that were diverted by the prior Administration to fund wall construction.”
With the stroke of his pen, President Biden put out the welcome mat for millions of illegal immigrants – including tens of thousands of convicted criminals, pedophiles, rapists, murderers, and terrorists – and single-handedly weakened our national security. And he continued (and even doubled down on) his suicidal immigration policies to the very end of his presidency, ordering that materials for new border wall construction be sold off for pennies on the dollar in the days following the November 2024 presidential election.
In other words, Biden’s desire to impede President Trump and his incoming administration was more important to him than protecting our national sovereignty. That is spite on steroids… bordering on treason.
During his first 100 days in office, President Biden also halted construction of the Keystone XL pipeline by denying land permits for the 1,200-mile U.S. extension that would have brought 830,000 barrels of oil sands crude per day from Alberta, Canada to Nebraska. Not only did that moratorium cost Americans thousands of high-paying jobs, but it resulted in record gasoline prices at the pump.
Fulfilling yet another Progressive pledge, Biden also rejoined the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, further handcuffing the U.S. economy while offering other high-polluting countries such as China and India an opportunity to use globalism to their advantage.
Back home, 13 of President Biden’s initial executive actions concerned the Covid-19 pandemic including a ludicrous “100-Days Masking Challenge” (that really worked well, didn’t it?) and a social distancing mandate that was arbitrary then and widely debunked now.
Remember when Joe Biden, in the final presidential debate prior to the 2020 general election, said the following: "Anyone who's responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America”? At the time of his remarks, approximately 220,000 Americans had succumbed to Covid-19. And yet, once Biden was inaugurated – and despite having three vaccines developed by President Trump and Operation Warp Speed at his disposal – more than 600,000 additional U.S. citizens died from Covid-19.
Don’t you just hate it when your words come back to bite you, Joe?
Some of Biden’s other executive actions that proved disastrous and/or unconstitutional were his insistence on forgiving student loan debt (just how many times does the Supreme Court have to say that you can’t do that, Joe?) and ramming DEI policies down the throats of every federal agency including the Department of Defense, where paying for gender-reassignment surgeries became a higher priority than military preparedness. But that’s what the liberal loonies who elected Biden wanted and so, that’s what they got… to our country’s detriment.
In the waning days of his historically poor presidency, Mr. Biden has taken two last shots at his predecessor and soon-to-be successor. First, he presented Liz Cheney with the Presidential Citizens Medal. Apparently, her sole qualification was being a Republican member of the January 6th Committee, but that was enough for Joe. Second, he awarded George Soros (yes, THAT George Soros) with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, our nation’s highest civilian honor.
What a disgrace… and what an insult to the men and women who have received that prestigious medal since it was first introduced by President John F. Kennedy.
In one final affront to President Trump and the American people, Joe Biden banned offshore drilling in federal waters just two weeks before the end of his lame duck term. Trump has vowed to overturn Biden’s last-ditch effort to sabotage his agenda but even if he is successful, it doesn’t diminish the fact that “Geritol Joe” showed his true – and very unpatriotic – colors.
January 20th can’t come soon enough.
