The Inconvenient Truths That the Democrats Despise
Thursday, October 31, 2024
Remember Al Gore’s apocalyptic documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” that was a real hot ticket item in 2006, at least for radical Progressives? The former vice president of the United States stated on camera (with a straight face) that there was a 75% chance that the entire Artic ice cap would be gone by 2016, melting away because of “boiling oceans” caused by the largest CO2 emissions in more than 650,000 years.
(Gore failed to mention the name of the Eskimo, penguin, or polar bear that measured the polar ice caps in the year 648,000 B.C.)
The “inconvenient truth” is that the northern ice cap still remains eight years after Gore’s doomsday prediction and the southern ice cap in Antarctica has actually grown in size. As you might have guessed, neither fact sits well with Mr. Chicken Little. After all, Gore told the moviegoers who watched his bogus film that current CO2 levels are “trapping as much extra heat as would be released by 600,000 Hiroshima-class atomic bombs exploding every single day on the earth."
What a drama queen!
In any case, at least Gore made a ton of money off his pseudo-documentary as well as the sale of his 20% stake in Current TV to Al Jazeera, a Qatari-owned media group, in 2013 that netted him a cool $100 million. Between the two hauls, Gore sits on a financial empire estimated at more than $300 million, which allowed him to purchase a 28-room mansion in Nashville that consumes more energy in a month (19,241 kilowatt hours) than the average American household does in a year.
According to the National Center for Public Policy Research, Mr. Gore’s 10,000 square foot domicile “guzzles more electricity in one year than the average American family uses in 21 years.” Not only that, but the report states that “During the last 12 months, Gore devoured 66,159 kWh of electricity just heating his pool. That is enough energy to power six average U.S. households for a year.”
So much for the carbon-free footprint that Gore often brags about!
And if he was so concerned about rising sea levels – which have risen a whopping eight inches since 1880 – why did Al and Tipper Gore purchase an ocean-view mansion in secluded Montecito, California shortly before separating in 2010?
Sadly, Al Gore is not the only example of the liberal “do what I say but not what I do” double standard. Joining him as they fly on private jets and sail on mega-yachts to climate change conferences around the world are such hypocritical elitists as John Kerry and Leonardo DiCaprio. I don’t know about you, but I am sick and tired of being lectured to by people like Gore and company… and that includes Barack Obama, who also owns oceanfront property in Hawaii and Martha’s Vineyard.
Geez, I wonder when Barry and Michelle are going to start paying their “fair share” in taxes?
And then there is Kamala Harris, who told her supporters this week that “It is time to turn the page on 10 years of fear and divisiveness” just seconds before launching into a tirade in which she called Donald Trump a fascist, a Nazi, unhinged, and a threat to democracy.
Atta girl, Kamala, way to promote unity and civility!
Not to be outdone, President Obama recently asked an audience – rhetorically, I hope – when politics in America first got so divisive? My answer would be January 20, 2009, when you took the oath of office, Mr. President, and started playing the race card anytime someone criticized one of your policies.
Back to Kamala Harris for a minute (or two). Ms. Harris has spent the past several days comparing President Trump’s campaign event at Madison Square Garden to the pro-Nazi rally held there in 1939. What she purposely forgot to mention is that MSG hosted the Democratic National Convention in 1924, 1976, 1980, and 1992, as well as a high-profile campaign speech by FDR in 1934 and JFK’s birthday party in 1962. I guess they were all fascists and Nazis, too… including Bill Clinton, who accepted his party’s nomination at “the Garden” in 1992.
Just a few more “inconvenient truths” to add to the mounting pile of liberal lies we’ve been told for generations, aided and abetted by the mainstream media.
