Tomorrow is Ronald Reagan’s 113th birthday and although he is not here to celebrate it, his words of wisdom remain to guide our thoughts and guard our liberties. And so, without further ado, here is the wit and wisdom of Ronald Wilson Reagan, the greatest president of my lifetime.

“If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”

“The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.”

“I’ve always said there’s nothing better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse.”

“The future doesn’t belong to the fainthearted; it belongs to the brave.”

“There are no easy answers, but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right.”

“It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.”

“Some people wonder all their lives if they’ve made a difference. The Marines don’t have that problem.”
“You can tell a lot about a fellow’s character by his way of eating jellybeans.”

“To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last – but eat you he will.”

“Freedom prospers when religion is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged.”

“Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.”

“Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty.”

Part 2 tomorrow…
