Kamala's Childish Games Are Insulting to Voters

Being a “Papa” to six precious grandchildren, I spend a lot of time playing hide-and-seek when I am around them. They never tire of that age-old game and neither do I. Whether we are playing at their house or ours, it seems like there is always a new place to hide.

At some point, Brady, Sadie, Levi, Dylan, Bella, and Charlotte will outgrow the desire to play a child’s game and quite frankly, I will miss sharing their innocent youth and reliving mine. But as the Apostle Paul said in I Corinthians 13:11, there comes a time to “put away childish things.”

Unless, of course, you are a Democrat running for President of the United States.

In 2020, Joe Biden hid in his basement bunker throughout the general election campaign, blaming Covid-19 for his reluctance to engage voters in person. Instead, he chose to conduct a few virtual interviews with a handful of friendly reporters who lobbed a softball question or two in his direction. Even then, you could tell that he wasn’t “firing on all cylinders” cognitively. However, the strategy worked – thanks in large part to a compliant and complicit mainstream media as well as Facebook and Twitter. Even the FBI and the CIA did their best to drag Geritol Joe across the finish line by dismissing Hunter’s laptop as Russian disinformation… a revelation that polls show would have changed the election’s outcome.

This time around, the DNC has apparently adopted “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” as its campaign strategy. Three full weeks into her nascent campaign, Vice President and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has yet to hold a single press conference or give a live interview. That is virtually unheard of in today’s 24/7 news cycle.

But guess what? It’s working, because the MSM is doing the campaigning for her, promoting her candidacy with puff pieces that more closely resemble cotton candy than true journalism. As a result, Harris has narrowed the gap in most swing states and opened leads in others.

Will the American people stand for such childish and insulting behavior? And will someone, anyone, at ABC, CBS, NBC, or CNN step up and demand access to the woman who wants to be the leader of the free world?

My guess is that Harris will wait and see what the poll numbers say after the Democratic National Convention is over. If she gets a big enough bump, Harris will continue to play dodgeball with the media – and the voters – until her momentum starts to stall. Only then will she begin acting like an adult instead of a preschooler during recess.
