Kamala Caves to the Progressive Left

If you are a Democrat and you were hoping that Kamala Harris would select Josh Shapiro, the popular first-term governor of Pennsylvania, to be her vice-presidential running mate, you are waking up this morning with a serious hangover. Likewise, if you are a Democrat and you were hoping that Kamala Harris would pick Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona to be her comrade-in-arms on the campaign trail, you are as deflated as a week-old birthday balloon.

You see, in Kamala’s eyes and that of the Liberal Left, Josh Shapiro has a scarlet letter hanging around his neck and it’s a capital J. It stands for Jew… and a pro-Israel Jew at that. And so, Kamala had to decide if she would stand by America’s only true ally in the Middle East or cave into the demands of the radical Progressive wing of her party by telling Shapiro to take a seat in the back of the bus.

Meanwhile, Palestinian terrorists and pro-Hamas sympathizers are dancing the dabke while chanting “From the river to the sea” and “Death to America.” Not exactly the visual you would want on the evening news, but Kamala just couldn’t say no to AOC and the Squad, who hate Israel with a psychopathic passion.

Lacking the backbone to stand up to Bernie Sanders, a lifelong socialist; Chuck Schumer, a Jew in name only; and Nancy Pelosi, still a behind-the-scenes powerbroker, Kamala calculated that she could lose Pennsylvania but still win Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin by casting her lot with Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota. In the process, she also wrote off Arizona, Nevada, and possibly New Mexico by overlooking Kelly, who was considered too moderate to share a ticket with the woman GovTrack.com named the most liberal senator in the 115th Congress.

From my vantage point, Ms. Harris had a chance to prove that she was her own person, not a puppet of the Democratic party elite, with her VP selection. Instead, she followed the path of least resistance by choosing Tim Walz, considered the “safe pick” by those pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Rest assured that Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping are looking on and licking their lips, figuring that anyone who couldn’t stand up to two octogenarians (Sanders and Pelosi) and an septuagenarian (Schumer) will be easy pickings if she is elected. Ms. Harris also sent a clear signal to the entire world that Israel is up-for-grabs as soon as the inaugural balls are over on January 20, 2025.
