Behind Kamala's Curtain

One of my favorite lines in the Wizard of Oz occurs when Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion are visiting the Wizard for a second time. As per their agreement, Dorothy has secured the broomstick of the Wicked Witch of the West and is there to collect her reward, which is a one-way ticket back home to Kansas. She also wants a brain for the Scarecrow, a heart for the Tin Man, and courage for the Cowardly Lion.

While the Wizard is ranting, raving, and telling them to come back tomorrow, Toto, Dorothy’s dog, pulls back a curtain to reveal that the Wizard is nothing more than a former carnival barker whose hot air balloon blew off course and dumped him in the Land of Oz. Not yet willing to give up his charade, the Wizard shouts into his microphone, “Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!”

Finally, the Wizard is forced to reveal his true identity. Dorothy calls him “a very bad man” while the Scarecrow simply says, “You humbug!”

My friend, I can’t think of a more appropriate description of Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and their purposely misleading campaign for the White House. In lockstep with their handlers in the DNC and their enablers in the MSM, Harris and Walz are doing everything in their power to conceal their true identities – and their true intentions – behind a curtain of secrecy, duplicity, and outright lies.

Call it smoke and mirrors on steroids.

For instance, Ms. Harris would have you believe that she is strong on border security, loves fracking, and will cut taxes for the middle class. In reality, she helped create the border crisis by encouraging mass migration while relaxing – if not completely reversing – Trump administration immigration policies. Ms. Harris is also on record as opposing fracking during her 2019 campaign, and she has supported allowing the Trump era tax cuts to expire, at least for corporations and Americans earning more than $400,000 per year, not realizing that companies will simply pass on their increased costs to consumers and/or move their operations to more business-friendly countries, taking millions of jobs with them.

Ms. Harris has also proposed “tightening rules” for estate taxes. That’s right folks, Kamala Harris wants to tax you while you’re alive and then again after you die.

Perhaps the biggest threat to American taxpayers is Kamala’s push to tax unrealized capital gains as well as increases in home equity. That means that if your investments go up, Harris wants to tax you on the profit, even if it’s unrealized. She also wants to tax you if your home value increases, even though you may have no intention of selling. Of course, if your investment portfolio later decreases or the value of your home goes down, don’t count on getting a refund from Uncle Sam and Aunt Kamala.

The same goes for “Coach” Walz, who portrays himself as both a war hero (although he never saw combat), and the personification of moderate Midwestern values when, in fact, he is an unabashed and unapologetic radical Progressive who sat on his fanny while Minneapolis burned during the “Summer of Love” in 2020.

Don’t be fooled, my friend, by the man and the woman behind the curtain. They are died-in-the-wool Socialists who want to create a Big Government utopia where Washington D.C. controls every aspect of your life… as well as your pocketbook.

Dorothy and the Scarecrow were right. Kamala Harris is a bunch of humbug and Tim Walz is a very bad man.
